Theoretical neuroscientist with a philosophical bent. Currently Run Research Data Scientist II at Brooks using machine learning to support performance footwear development. Experience in human subjects research, mathematical modeling, experimental neurobiology, computational ethology, and Bayesian inference. Interested in ecological approaches to human-machine interaction and interface design, biomechanics, olfaction, birdsong, anticipation, allostasis, neural field theory, and learning. Working in the traditions of embodied cognition, ecological psychology, neuroethology, developmental systems theory, process philosophy, and the extended evolutionary synthesis. Projects in the philosophy of mind, philosophy of science, and metaphysics. Bringing it all together through dynamic mechanistic explanation. Side interests in pedagogy, mathematics, economics, and generative design.
